I don't know how good that M.O.M gamemode is but I'm thinking about buying the latest guilty gear game when I get my PS4 so I'll be able to try it. Well I wasn't asking for something to instantly make me feel good.If the tutorial is good it's fine by me.Tbh I'm even afraid to try pvp matches so the only people who will consider me good will be the bots. I’d say it’s a pretty content packed game if you appreciate those smaller things and like character stories. There are alternate color schemes (character skins) you can purchase with in game money as well, and there’s loads of artwork you can unlock. You can purchase songs from older games and choose them when not playing certain modes as well, my personal favorite is Alexandrite. The story seems well presented although i haven’t done much of it. :3 (the name might be a little off, i haven’t played in a while). The RPG esque mode where you can upgrade your character for more HP, Damage, etc and fight extremely tough ai bosses practically endlessly, then grim of the abyss mode is for you.
The downside is, online players that know the strings will probably steamroll you though. If you just wanna mash buttons and do lots of damage, there’s a Stylish control mode that lets you do just that. Super hard and satisfying combo challenges for each character are awesome (even though i can’t complete all of the combos for 1 character.) you need godlike precision on the hard combos, but i’d play with it some if you feel like your execution is meh. Having 3 arcade mode mini stories to follow for each character is awesome.
